Good balance training, especially for groups where individual needs vary, should be comprehensive and include as many elements for balance as possible. Include activities for flexibility, posture, and strength, as well as traditional balance components and everyday skills (see chapter 1 for a discussion on multicomponent training).

Practice first by yourself. Rehearse the activity mentally, pretending you are in class. Try to imagine any problems you might encounter or who might have a problem with the activity.
